Dutch Paralympic athlete Ronald Hertog is looking forward to competing in the men’s long jump at Cork City Sports. Hertog number 1 T44 long jump athlete in Europe and bronze medal winner at the London Paralympic will travel to Cork to compete in his first able-bodied meet.
It is also a first for Cork City Sports to have a Paralympic compete at the international meet. Event director Dick Hodgins states that he is excited to have to have a 7.09m Paralympic long jumper participate on Tuesday evening.
Hertog will be up against the 8m jumpers of Rogerio da Silva Bispo (Brazil), Nicholas Gordon (Jamaica) and Norris Fredrick (USA).
