David Cussen (Old Abbey AC) is the Cork City Sports Athlete Of The Month for July 2020. At a ceremony at The River Lee was present the award. At the rescheduled Leevale Sports, on July 30th, David soared to a new personal best height of 2.15m, to  win the High Jump competition. A few weeks later, he went on to add two more centimeters to that height, when he took the Gold medal at the National Senior Championships.
