Spectators for many years at the Cork City Sports have marvelled at the free flowing and eye catching natural running style of athletes from various African nations such as Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tunisia, Algeria, Botswana, Morocco and next July another country from eastern Africa will be represented in Cork when Flavio Seholhe will compete in the classic One Mile event.
Flavio Seholhe is his country’s national champion and record holder for both the 1500m and 800m posting his pb time to set a new national record of 3mins 39. 41 secs for the former at the South African Championships last year. He is aiming to run 3: 36 this season so should be right in the mix at the business end of the Mile in Cork on 8th July.
