The annual Cork City Sports Athlete Of The Year Award was held today in the River Lee Hotel. The athlete of the year is selected from the 12 monthly winners of 2017. 

The  winner of the 2017 Athlete Of The Year Award is Jill Hodgins (Leevale AC). On the 4th of June, Jill was a popular and clear winner of the women’s section of the  Cork City Marathon in a time of 2hrs 48mins 17secs.
