At a ceremony in The River Lee, Phil Healy of Bandon AC was awarded the Cork City Sports Athlete Of The Month for August.  At the 148th consecutive National Senior track and field championships in Santry, Phil recorded a double at the 100m and 200m events, to add to her impressive collection of national titles. Phil also set a new national indoor 200m record of 23.10 at Athlone in February last.
