Michelle Finn (Leevale AC) is the Cork City Sports Athlete Of the Month for November.  In a year where Covid restrictions once again impacted the athletics calendar, Michelle excelled.  In June she retained the her national 3000m Steeple chase title and in August she competed in her second Olympics, becoming the first Irish female athlete to compete in the 3000m Steeplechase at two olympics. 

On November 21st Michelle dominated the Senior Women’s National Cross Country  from start to finish winning the race and leading the Leevale AC team to silver. In doing so, she secured automatic qualification for the European Cross Country Championships which was held in Abbotstown last Sunday.
