James Ezeonu (Leevale AC)  is the Cork City Sports Athlete of the Month for June. The award was presented to James at a ceremony in the River Lee hotel. After a stellar breakthrough season at the 110m hurdles while on an athletic scholarship at Iowa State University, James recorded a much-needed victory for Ireland at the European Team Championships in Poland on the 21st of June. James‘s victory helped the Irish team to secure top position in their division and thereby gain promotion to Division Two for the next edition of this European competition.
