Australian distance runner Collis Birmingham has confirmed that he will return to Leeside for the 62nd Cork City Sports on 2nd July. The 28 year old was a comfortable winner of the 3000m at last year’ Meeting prior to competing in the Olympic Games in London.

Birmingham finished an impressive 8th at this year’s World Cross-County Championships in Poland and following Cork will be targeting the World Championships in Moscow next August. Collis has run the mile in 3 mins 54.30sec. and has best times of 7mins.35.45 sec. for 3000m and 13 mins.09.57 secs for 5000m.
