The Cork City Sports Athlete for the Month of February is Phil Healy (Bandon AC and UCC). Phil received the award for winning the 400m at the National Senior Indoor Championships in a time of 53.49sec which was inside the qualifying standard for the European Indoor championships. Among many other top class performances in February Phil won the Intervarsity 200m Indoor title in a very brisk time of 23.55 seconds, setting a varsity record in the process.
