The Cork City Sports Athlete for the Month July is Diarmuid O’Connor (Bandon AC). Diarmuid set a new Irish Junior Decathlon record at the European Junior Championships in Estonia. He finished a very commendable 4th intuit hotly contested competition.
Tony O’Connell Chairman of Cork City Sports presented the award at a ceremony in the River Lee Hotel. The Award is sponsored by The Echo, The River Lee and Corks 96FM.
