The Cork City Sports Athlete of the Month for July is Lucy May Sleeman (Leevale AC). Lucy is one of the up and coming sprint stars in Ireland and has been unbeaten in sprints at juvenile and junior level is 2022. Lucy May recorded a comprehensive sprint double in the 100 & 200m races in at the national junior championship in Tullamore winning the 100m in a personal best time of 11.63. She subsequently improved on that time while representing Ireland at the World Junior Championships in Columbia early August.
