The Cork City Sports Athlete for the Month for May is Stephanie Cotter. During the month of May Stephanie Cotter (Coachford College and West Muskerry AC) dominated the traditional end of school year track and field championships in both the Senior Girls 800m and 1500m events. Stephanie achieved a double victory at the Munster Schools Championships on the  20th May at the CIT track. She later went on to win gold at Irish 1500m on the first weekend of June at Tullamore. Additionally Stephanie has a famous victory in the 800m women’s race at the renowned Leevale Open Sports on the 6th May.
