Laura Nicholson of Bandon A.C. is the Cork City Sports Athlete for the month of October. After a stellar breakthrough season on the track, particularly in the steeplechase event, Laura was a comprehensive winner  of the 6000m Junior Women’s race at the prestigious  Autumn Open Cross-Country Festival held at the National Sports Campus Abbotstown Dublin on October 22nd.
