Belgooley  athlete Sam Healy was the recipient of the Cork City Sports Athlete of the Month Award for September. The presentation in association with The River Lee Hotel, Cork 96FM C103 and the Evening Echo, was made by Chairman Tony O’Connell at The River Lee Hotel.

Sam won the intermediate boys multi events titles at both the Munster and All Ireland schools championships during the month. He will now represent Ireland at the schools international in Glasgow in December.
