The Cork City Sports Award Ceremony, in association with the Evening Echo, 96FM, River and the Lee Hotel, for the overall  Athletic Person of the year for 2012 will take place at he River Lee Hotel on Friday 8th March.  2012 was another great year for athletics in Cork  as is evident from the quality of the monthly winners.

• September – Sam Healy (Carrigaline Community School)
• October – Fergus O’Donovan (St Finbarr’s AC)
