May Athlete of the Month: Niamh Allen

Cork City Sports is delighted to announce Niamh Allen of Leevale AC as the recipient of the May Athlete of the Month Award following another outstanding performance on the international stage.

Competing at the European 10,000m Cup in Spezia, Italy, Niamh delivered a world-class run to finish an excellent sixth place against some of Europe's finest distance runners. Her time of 32:41.28 further underlined her status as one of Ireland's leading endurance athletes and continued her impressive progression at international level.

Niamh's performance was not only a personal success but also proved crucial for the Irish team. Her strong finish helped lead Ireland to the silver medal position in the team competition, a tremendous achievement in one of Europe's premier distance-running events.

The Leevale athlete has consistently demonstrated her ability to compete with the very best, and her result in Spezia was another example of her determination, resilience and racing intelligence. To secure a top-six finish at a major European championship event is a significant accomplishment and one that reflects the hard work and dedication she brings to her training and competition.
