Cork City Sports is delighted to name Aoife O’Sullivan (Liscarroll AC & MTU) our Athlete of the Month for February 2025, in recognition of her outstanding achievements on the track and in the field.
At the Irish Universities Indoor Track & Field Championships, Aoife soared to a sensational personal best of 1.85m in the high jump. This incredible performance not only secured her the gold medal but also shattered the Irish Universities record. In doing so, she also raised the bar—literally—for both the Munster and Cork senior women’s high jump records.
Aoife’s season continued on a high when she clinched gold at the National Under 23 Championships with a championship best of 1.78m, further underlining her position as one of Ireland’s premier high jump talents.
Congratulations to Aoife on her remarkable achievements—an inspiration to athletes across the country and a deserving Cork City Sports Athlete of the Month.
