The twenty three year old who is currently studying at Adams State in the USA is a sub four minute miler with a 3000m pb of 7 mins.52.15secs and has competed at both the World Junior Championships on the track and cross country. He will be aiming to make the Irish team for the European Championships in Zurich next August.

Batt will be included in a star studded field for the 3000m at the 63rd Cork City Sports on Tuesday 8th July.
