Cork City Sports is proud to announce Max O’Reilly of Riverstick Kinsale AC as the Athlete of the Month for January, recognising his outstanding indoor season which kicked off with a breakthrough performance at the AAI Games in the National Indoor Arena.
Max stormed to a second-place finish in the 60m, clocking 6.75 seconds, a significant milestone that signalled his arrival among Ireland’s elite sprinters. That performance was only the beginning. He followed it up with a silver medal at the Irish Senior Championships and capped off the season by claiming the U23 National Title with a stunning personal best of 6.66 seconds.
This time places Max fourth on the all-time Irish rankings over 60 metres – an extraordinary achievement that highlights his explosive progress and exciting future in Irish athletics.
