Michelle-Lee Ahye, World World Championship and Olympic Finalist Confirmed For Cork City Sports
Cork City Sports has confirmed the participation of Michelle-Lee Ahye from Trinidad and Tobago, in the women’s 100M on Tuesday July 9th.
Michelle-Lee Ahye is a World Championship and Olympic finalist. She is also a Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist and multiple Diamond League winner.
She is one of a small number of female sprinters who have run sub 11 seconds for 100m with a personal best time of 10.82.
Michelle-Lee will be up against a number of very fast American sprinters who have run sub 11 seconds also, including Caisja Chandler10.99 and Morolake Akinosun 10.95.
In the field also will be local athlete and recent European Silver Medalist from Rome, Phil Healy, running in a shorter event than she normally competes in. It should prove to be an interesting battle.
