Leading middle distance runners from the famed Oregon Track Club have competed at the Cork City Sports over recent years and on 8th July at the  C.I.T. Athletic Stadium a strong team from the OTC will be competing in Cork once again.

World class athletes who are currently representing OTC include Olympic and World Decathlon Champion Ashton Eaton, World High Jump Champion Jesse Williams, Olympic Silver Medallists Nick Symmonds and Sally Kipyego. European indoor bronze medallist Ciaran O’Lionaird from Macroom heads a strong distance squad which includes Ben Blackenship, Russell Brown, Jordan McNamara, Hassan Mead, Jemma Simpson, Aisha Praught, Chris Thompson, Andrew Wheating.
