The womens 100m hurdles race will be a great competition. Sarah Lavin has had a great season so far both indoors and outdoors and is sure to impress at MTU on July 5th. She has always supported the international meetings in Ireland which means a lot to the sport of athletics in this country. The other Irish competitors in this event will be Kate Doherty and Sarah Quinn.
There will be strong international opposition in the race from the likes of Mette Graversgaard from Denmark, who set a new Danish Record of 12.84 in the last few days. Greta Kerekes of Hungary who also ran sub 13 seconds in the last week will also be in the field, as will two America athletes Jade Barber and Lolo Jones.
