Cork City Sports Mission Statement

The Cork City Sports Sets out a New Vision for Sport-“Athletics for a Better World”-
where our sport serves People and Athletes, the Planet and Prosperity. Taking its
lead from World Athletics’ 10-year Sustainability Strategy, our event will have a real,
positive and lasting impact on athletes, fans, local communities and our environment.
We will embed and enact sustainability in our athletics event, in our practices and
operations to tackle climate change and social sustainability.
Athletics is a sport for everyone and inspires people to rise to the greatest of
challenges. With the Cork City Sports, we wish to inspire all to rise to the challenges
of sport and the greatest one of our time-true social and environmental sustainability.
